News about feng yi and fu wa from The Star Online

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak visited the giant panda pair Fu Wa and Feng Yi, at Zoo Negara here, Sunday.
Najib, who tweeted and posted on his Facebook page a picture of his visit, said giant pandas were considered to be symbols of peace in Chinese culture and were highly revered.
The two Chinese giant pandas are here for 10 years to mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Malaysia and China on May 31.
Loaned through the Malaysia-China Giant Panda International Conservation Agreement programme, the pandas will be quarantined for about one month in a special place in Zoo Negara to enable them to adjust to the new environment.
Via the programme signed in 2012, Malaysia has the opportunity to undertake giant panda conservation research, besides being able to develop and train local experts in the field. – Bernama

Little memory for my uni life

A photo tells everything. It was a hot sunday where all of my college mate got a chance to stick together in the Sepang beach.Although the sun is hot untill I got my skin sunburn but we were still happy playing around with games.

It has been a long time where we all never been going out together but hopefully the time before we graduated from university there will still have a chance for us to go outing together. I really appreciated the time when we spent together.

Simple quote complicated meaning~

Tower of Savior

Developed by Hong Kong-based Mad Head and with seven million playersTower of Saviorsis currently one of the hottest mobile games in Asia. The game is often called a clone ofPuzzle and Dragons, but Puzzle and Dragons is only available in Japan and North America, which locks out a lot of gamers who are dying to give the game a shot. Clone or not, though,Tower of Saviors has been a joy to play.

Gameplay: A fusion between Pokemon and puzzles

Tower of Saviors is a mobile mash-up of Pokemon and Candy Crush. The fight takes place at the top half of the mobile screen and the puzzle is on the bottom half.
You start adventuring the dungeons with several monster seal cards (pictured). Each monster seal card has unique abilities to aid you in battles (like massive attacks or battle bonuses) and you can collect more of them when you defeat monsters.
tower-of-saviors-seal-card
These seal cards also have other uses. You can select them in your team fights, level up other monster cards, or evolve your monsters. The cards are classified using five different runestones. If you match 3 or more runestones of the same color vertically or horizontally, you will be able to trigger a monster of that color to attack. The more combos you can do, the more damage your monster will deal.
Each battle also allows you to bring a friend along. If you win the battles, you get friend points. 200 friend points can be exchanged for a random seal card. If there’s an event going on, you might be able to get some very rare and powerful seal cards.
Do note that each battle costs battle stamina. If you run out of stamina, you can’t play. Either you pay one diamond ($1.00) to recover stamina or wait for hours for it to recover. Diamonds can also be earned in battle. But by paying for diamonds, you can easily gain access to rare seal cards and basically pay to win the game.
But if you are like me, a casual Tower of Saviors gamer, you shouldn’t need to spend a single dime to enjoy the game.

My first self-design poster

Although it is not well designed but i'm so satisfied with it. It is my first time to design such a complicated poster~

The myth of protein shake~

To a point, sure. But put down the shake for a sec. Protein promotes the muscle-building process, called protein synthesis, "but you don't need exorbitant amounts to do this," says John Ivy, Ph.D., coauthor of Nutrient Timing

If you're working out hard, consuming more than 0.9 to 1.25 grams of protein per pound of body weight is a waste. Excess protein breaks down into amino acids and nitrogen, which are either excreted or converted into carbohydrates and stored.

The real expert says: More important is when you consume protein, and that you have the right balance of carbohydrates with it. Have a postworkout shake of three parts carbohydrates and one part protein.

Eat a meal several hours later, and then reverse that ratio in your snack after another few hours, says Ivy. "This will keep protein synthesis going by maintaining high amino acid concentrations in the blood."

So near yet so far

I have just sharing a news regarding our country badminton team from the Star Online~~

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia failed in its quest to bring back the Thomas Cup after it crashed out to Japan 3-2 in a gripping final in New Delhi, India on Sunday.

Japan clinched the winning point in the fifth and deciding game when Takuma Ueda defeated Liew Daren 21-12, 18-21, 21-17.

This is the first time that Japan has won the title, breaking the stranglehold of China, Indonesia and Malaysia.

It was Lee Chong Wei who opened winning accounts for Malaysia when he defeated Kenichi Tago in the first game 21-12, 21-16.

Japan came back in the second game when its pairing of Kenichi Hayakawa-Hiroyuki Endo beat Tan Boon Heong-Hoon Thien How in a nail-biting three-set thriller. The five-game final was tied at 1-1.

Tan-Hoon had taken the first set 21-12 against the world No 3 of Japan but lost in the second 17-21 to force the match into a rubber set.

In the decider, the two pairs matched point for point but the Japanese hung on to their lead to win 21-19.

Go V Shem-Tan Wee Kiong gave Malaysia the second point when they beat Keigo Sonoda-Takeshi Kamura with a hard-fought 19-21, 21-17, 21-12 win and tied the score at 2-2.

Then came second singles player Ken Momota who gave Japan the lead when he beat Chong Wei Feng 21-15, 21-17 to put the tie at 2-1 for Japan before Goh-Tan found the much-needed point in the second doubles.

How to losebelly fat

Quite a nice article written by Callie Durbrow

Not so fast. I’m not going to talk about the mythical idea of spot reduction here. That’s right folks, it DOES NOT exist. You can’t pick and choose where to lose fat. Even though most people understand that concept, everyone still wants their midsections to look great, right?
If you follow these 7 rules, you will lose belly fat, simply because your entire body will be burning fat at all times.
1. Strength Training- the BEST way to change your body composition and boost your metabolism so that your body is a fat burning machine.
2. Interval conditioning- skip the boring, slow cardio and rev up your metabolism and fat burning capabilities with interval work such as sprints or jumping rope. This type of training creates a metabolic effect that will allow you burn calories at the workout rate for up to 36 hours post workout.
3. Eat breakfast. Skipping breakfast slows the metabolic process down and you will not burn calories at rest as quickly as you should. It can also lead to over eating later in the day. Have a combination of complex carbs and protein and you will feel energized and full.
4. Drink plenty of water. Figure out your body weight(pounds) and drink 1/2 of that in ounces. Staying hydrated keeps your metabolism going and also helps prevent fluid retention.
5. Perform multi-joint movements when strength training. Squats, lunges, pull ups, push ups, and Kettle bell movements are the best for fat loss. You will rev up your metabolism, develop lean and toned muscles, and burn a ton of calories both during and after the training session. Avoid machines and isolated movements if you want to kick that extra belly fat (especially around the middle).
6. Don’t obsess over the scale. Weigh yourself once a week if you have to. Otherwise, just stay away. Focus on your physique, how your clothes feel, and your body composition. Get your body fat percentage tested every 6 weeks if possible. This will ensure that you are losing the right kind of weight. The scale cannot tell the difference.
7. Eat every 3-4 hours. If you starve yourself and restrict calories, your body automatically slows down and you will not efficiently burn fat. Fuel the fire (your metabolism) every several hours with quality foods such as fruits, veggies, lean protein, low fat dairy, and healthy fats including nuts and avocados.
Losing body fat (in most cases, belly fat) is a complete process. You must strength train, eat properly and at the right times, perform high intensity interval conditioning, and drink plenty of water. If any of these pieces of the puzzle are lacking, you progress will suffer.
You cannot lose fat in just one spot, but for many women the excess fat lies around the middle of the body. If your body becomes efficient at burning calories while you are NOT working out, you will see drastic changes in your overall composition. Follow these 7 tips and remember that it’s a long term process, not a quick fix. Anyone can lose a few pounds in a week, but to create an efficient fat burning body, you must get in the trenches and do the work.

Should I keep worrying or let it be?

I have been thinking of this quote all night long~~~
should I worry or just let it be ?

Kuching My Hometown YO!!!!

Below are some interesting facts about Kuching that we do agree thanks to アブン who had the passion to list them down for us:

1. Kuching is the first city in the country where motorist can 'turn left when exit is clear' legally! (Now started to be implemented in Putrajaya)

2. More than 50% of houses in Kuching are Semi-D and bungalows which is more than any other cities.

3. There are more satelite dishes in the backyard of Kuching houses than other place combined together.

4. Most of Kuching pretty girls go out without make-up,wearing simple short, T-shirt and japanese slippers.(o.O)

5. Kuching is the city where the majority of family in here have the motto of 'one person one car' and not 'one family one car'. When the children get their license, they will eventually have their own car. Form 5 student will drive to school. Even when fuel price hiked the number of cars in a family will still be the same.

6. Kuching's roundabout is VERY VERY VERY big compared to other cities. It has the size of almost 1 and half the size of a football field. They could even build dozens and dozens of houses inside the roundabout and thousands of plants and trees in it.

7. The people here often refer the location in the city by using the word "mile". Example are 3rd mile, 4th mile, 5th mile and so on.

Feng Yi and Fu Wa

I am just too exciting to share the news from the Star Newspaper out with you all as the "feng yi" and "fu wa" will be soon in Malaysia!!!!!

CHENGDU: Chin Chet Mooi, the Malaysian “adopter” of female panda Feng Yi is excited that the she and male panda, Fu Wa, will be soon in the country.
Chin arrived at the Dujiangyan panda base here in Sichuan province a day before the pandas, Feng Yi and Fu Wa, were scheduled to depart for their new home in Malaysia.
The 55-year-old has been the “adoptive mother” of Feng Yi through a Colorada–based non-profit organisation, Pandas International, since September 2006.
“I am excited that Feng Yi is coming to Malaysia. I am happy that she will be nearer (to me),” she said on Monday.

Chin adopted Feng Yi via a shared adoption which cost US$1,000 (RM3,210) initially and US$800 (RM2,600) for renewals.
The contribution covers the cost of veterinary care, medicine and vitamins as well as daily meals for the pandas and caretakers at the panda bases.

The eight-year-old Feng Yi has been at the Dujiangyan panda base since relocating from the Ya’an base of China Conservation and Research Centre for the Giant Panda (CCRCGP) together with Fu Wa in late February.
Chin will leave Sichuan on Tuesday night, slightly ahead of the pandas’ departure to Kuala Lumpur, and is set to wait at the MASkargo Complex at the KL International Airport to welcome them.
Chin signed up to be a Zoo Negara volunteer when she found out that the pandas would be housed there.
“I don’t know yet what I will be assigned to do as a volunteer at the zoo, but I hope I will be able to help out in the giant panda exhibit, helping visitors, answering questions, and to do my part to support this loan agreement in a positive way,” the freelance proof-editor said.

Chin added that she looked forward to Feng Yi giving birth to a panda cub in Malaysia.
“As a first-time mother, Feng Yi surprised many when she delivered a male cub in August last year.
“She has strong mothering instinct and the panda base even gave her another female cub to look after,” Chin said.
In addition to Feng Yi, Chin has also adopted another female panda, Gong Zhu, and Feng Yi’s cub, Gong Gong.

Outline of my speech in uni

TV VIOLENCE
INTRODUCTION
        i.            Attention grabber

Not only has the perpetuation of youth violence become an alarming issue in America, but also the fact that kids are shooting other kids with remarkable accuracy.  Michael Carneal, who shot eight times into a prayer group in Paducah, Kentucky in 1998, managed to get eight hits, although he'd never before shot an actual handgun.  Five of the victims were shot in the head and three in the upper torso.  Three died and one was paralyzed for life.
      ii.            Reveal topic
Today I would like to talk about tv violence.
    iii.            Relevance statement
Watching just one hour of television a day can make a person more violent towards others, according to a 25-year study. In some circumstances, TV watching increases the risk of violence by five times.
    iv.            Preview of main points
Standing here today, I will cover a brief of tv violence, children and tv violence, adults and violence, tv violence and real thing
BODY
In the first place, I will go through a brief knowledge of tv violence
Main point 1: Televised violence, both staged and real, has become a part of everyday life.
·        By the time they finish elementary school, the average child will have watched 8,000 televised murders and 100,000 televised acts of violence.
·        By the time that child reaches the age of 18, those numbers will have doubled.
·        Why is the American media showing more and more acts of staged and real-life violence? The answer is simple. The name of the game in television is to build an audience, and violence is an effective means to gain viewers
·        In an effort to boost ratings and compete for greater audience share, network and cable broadcast outlets have provided viewers with a steady and graphic dose of televised violence

Strangely enough,
Main point 2: children and tv violence
·        American children watch an average of four hours of television daily
·        Become “immune” or numb to the horror of violence
·        Gradually accept violence as way to solve problem
·        Imitate the violence they observed from tv
moving on to the next point,
Main point 3: Not only children, increasing violence in adults due to excessive tv watching.
·        Johnson found that 45 per cent of the men who had watched three hours or more at age 14 went on to commit an aggressive act against another person
·         just nine per cent of the men who had spent less than an hour in front of the tube
·        For women aged 30, the strongest TV predictor of violence was watching three hours of more at age 22.
·        Of these women, 17 per cent had committed an aggressive act, compared to none in the group watching less than an hour a day.
Lastly,
Main point 4: Does TV violence lead to the real thing?
·        the psychologists Craig A. Anderson and Brad J. Bushman found a statistically significant small-to-moderate-strength relationship between watching violent media and acts of aggression or violence later in life.
·        Robert J. Hancox showed that watching excessive amounts of TV as a child or adolescent — in which most of the content contains violence — was causally associated with antisocial behavior in early adulthood
·        The weight of the studies supports the position that exposure to media violence leads to aggression, desensitization toward violence and lack of sympathy for victims of violence, particularly in children.
CONCLUSION
I.                    Summary of main points
All in all my speech today was on
a)      a brief knowledge of tv violence,
b)      children and tv violence
c)      adults and tv violence
d)      tv violence and real thing

        II.                 Memorable concluding statement

Even if violent tv are conclusively found to cause real-life violence, we as a society may still decide that we are not willing to regulate violent content. That’s our right. But before we make that decision, we should rely on evidence, not instinct.
